Brothers

Short film. BROTHERS follows a Muslim Arab boy who realizes he is different, and is fortunate to have an older brother who stands by him and encourages him to be himself, in the face of bias and adversity. Written & directed by Mike Mosallam, this short film aims to shed light on LGBTQ+ oppression in a familial, religious space that has yet to be portrayed on screen.

A Jihad for Love

The world's first feature documentary to explore the complex global intersections between Islam and homosexuality. Parvez Sharma enters the many worlds of Islam by illuminating multiple stories as diverse as Islam itself. Always filming in secret and as a Muslim, Parvez makes the film from within the faith, depicting Islam with the same respect that the film's characters show for it.

A Channel 4 documentary produced and directed by Cara Lavan, about the experiences of five Muslim people who identify as lesbian and gay and how they challenge the heterosexual-worldview within Islam, and attempt to integrate Islam with homosexuality.

Muslim Pride Documentary

 Hidayah worked alongside the Naz and Matt Foundation and the Documentary Maker Sonia Singh to create 'Muslim Pride.' This documentary focuses on the lives of LGBT+ Muslims within the United Kingdom. Filmed at Hidayah's first birthday party in December 2017, it highlights the lived reality of many LGBT+ Muslims, their daily struggles, the issues they face and the ways in which they reconcile Islam and their sexuality.
